A straightened hair, chemically or not, needs proper care and maintenance. There are some easy things you can do to have a long-lasting, frizz-free straightening:

 - Apply a thermic defender spray before using any heat appliances on your hair to prevent any damage due to the heat from happening while styling.

 - Avoid shampoos with salt or sulfate that will open your hair cuticles, letting the moisture out, dehydrating the hair, and causing frizz. Always use salt-free and sulfate-free shampoos.

 - After washing your hair, use a deep conditioning treatment to eliminate the frizz and create a coat around the strand that will regulate water entrance to the strands. Remember, moisture can be the straightened hair's worst enemy.

 - Carry an SOS in your purse if your hair becomes dry or frizzy or if the weather becomes too humid.
